How to Prepare Your Site for Container Delivery
A smooth container delivery starts with good site preparation. A little planning prevents delays and extra charges on delivery day.
1. Choose a Level, Stable Surface
Containers should rest on level ground. Gravel, concrete, or compacted soil works best. Uneven ground can cause doors to bind and water to pool.
2. Clear the Path
Delivery trucks are large. Make sure there is room to approach, maneuver, and exit. Remove obstacles and trim low branches or overhead wires.
3. Understand the Delivery Method
Tilt-bed trucks slide the container to the ground and need extra clearance behind the truck. Flatbed deliveries may require you to arrange a forklift or crane.
4. Be Present for Inspection
Have someone on site to direct placement and inspect the unit. Note any issues on the receipt, photograph them, and notify us within 48 hours.
